The healthcare team at New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital are inspiring their patients and beyond by playing Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" everytime a COVID-19 patient is discharged.

Former Journey singer Steve Perry shared the uplifting story on Twitter to spread "a little cheer" amidst coronavirus concerns, captioned, "We're all in this together, and we'll get through this together."

Good Morning America reported that the heartening tradition began last week. "“Every patient discharge gives hope to New York Presbyterian Queens staff," said hospital president Jaclyn Mucaria said. "They are encouraged to see their patients recovering and going home.”

Though New York has been hit with the most fatalities during the coronavirus pandemic in the US, many healthcare workers across the state, including the Queens Hospital staff, maintain a positive attitude to encourage one another through the trying times.

"These have been very challenging times but I am so proud of the extraordinary selflessness and teamwork," said Mucaria. "Everyone is pitching in for the purpose of providing the best care to our patients."
