A new supernatural romantic drama features one of INXS' most enduring songs - and the Australian rockers have re-edited a live performance of the track to tie into the film.

The group released on Valentine's Day the "In Between edit" of "Never Tear Us Apart" - the smoldering ballad from 1987's blockbuster Kick - combining footage from the film (recently released to Paramount+) with clips from the band's 1991 live set at Wembley Stadium in London. The subject matter of The In Between - a teenage girl (Joey King) seemingly receiving messages from a boyfriend (Kyle Allen) who recently died in an accident - makes a song like "Never Tear Us Apart" a fitting choice for the soundtrack.

Issued as the fourth single from Kick nearly 35 years ago in the summer of 1988, "Never Tear Us Apart" remains one of the most anthemic selections in INXS' catalogue. Powered by the late Michael Hutchence's emotional vocals, shimmering synths, blues-y guitar and a wailing sax solo for the ages, the song became Kick's fourth Top 10 hit in America, peaking at No. 7.
