Over 25 years after its release, Madonna's sixth album Bedtime Stories climbed to the No. 1 spot on the iTunes Album charts overnight.
As of Thursday (April 30), the Material Girl's 1994 album catapulted to the top of the charts, after becoming the spotlight of the social media campaign "#JusticeforBedTimeStories."
This Twitter campaign is the latest in the trending #JusticeFor series that have drawn fans together to mobilize undercooked albums back into the mainstream. Prior to Madonna's BedTime Series, listeners rallied to push Mariah Carey's 2008 EMC2 album, as well as Janet Jackson's 1986 Control.
While may seem unexpected that the R&B flavored album made its first-ever appearance into the iTunes chart only to take hold of No. 1, the iTunes chart reflects hourly sales trends and fans may have figured out the "secret" to make a difference with their Madonna-mob listens.
The pop legend took to Twitter today to thank her devotees for their support.
