Lou Reed's 1989 New York album is getting the deluxe reissue treatment via Rhino, out September 25. The 3 CD/ 2LP/ DVD bundle features a newly remastered version of the original album alongside 26 unreleased recordings.

New York marked Lou Reed's 15th album of his solo career and earned the rocker his first Grammy nomination.

The first CD consists of the remastered album, the second CD contains live versions from the Lou Reed Archive while the final CD holds unreleased early versions of the album's tracks - including "Last Great American Whale,” “Sick Of You” and “Dirty Blvd." Also embedded in the final disc are live versions of The Velvet Underground's “Sweet Jane" and the Transformer track “Walk On The Wild Side."

The live DVD showcases Reed's 1989 performance at Montreal's Theatre St. Denis, which originally premiered as "The New York Album" convert video.

New York: Deluxe Edition also comes accompanied by a hardcover book with liner notes by David Fricke and essays by archivist Don Fleming. Reed's widow, Laurie Anderson and the late music producer Hal Wilner contributed to the book's publication.

The deluxe edition of New York is now available for pre-order here. See the full tracklist below.
