Stevie Nicks compared the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic to "a real 'American Horror Story'" in her latest journey entry, where she urged people to take wearing masks seriously.
In an entry dated August 10, Nicks began her reflections with a somber warning: "We still have our freedom. But we don't have much time." Noting the continued growth of COVID-19 cases in the United States, she acknowledged the 22,000+ increase in COVID-19 related deaths between this journal post and her last one on July 29.
The Fleetwood Mac songstress also pointed out the similarities between America's handling of the COVID-19 crisis and an 2013 episode of American Horror Story that she had previously starred in.
"This is like the season of American Horror Story I was in. It had turned into an apocalypse above ground. A serious 'shelter in place,' she described before concluding, "Call it Armageddon[,] Call it a Pandemic[,] Call it the Apocalypse...This is a real American Horror Story[.] It is not a mini-series[.] It is a tragedy."
